SMALL APP. EVERYDAY DIFFERENCE.

A little less drive management.

You have files to work on. Your filesystem shouldn't be the project.

Finder, as usual.

Work with familiar files and folders. Nativol brings writing to eligible NTFS drives, right where you already work.

A quiet place up top.

See access status and safely eject from the menu bar. Enable launch at login and Nativol returns after sign-in.

One setup. Fewer prompts.

Approve background access once. Everyday mounts and ejects then use the service without saving your password.

FROM PLUGGED IN TO GETTING ON

Set up once.
Settle into your work.

Walk through setup
  1. 01

    Make your Mac ready.

Install macFUSE, then approve Nativol's background service and the required macOS permissions.

  2. 02

    Turn on automatic writing.

One opt-in applies to eligible external NTFS drives. Each drive gets an identity and health check before mounting.

  3. 03

    Use Finder. Eject when done.

Copy your files, finish your work, and safely eject through Finder or Nativol's menu.

Intel testing beta

Start with
the right setup.

We're beginning with a carefully bounded Intel release. More Macs and drives need real-world testing.

NATIVOL 0.5.0-BETA.1

Your next drive,
a little more at home.

Try the Intel beta and help shape what comes next.

This is a testing release. Signing, notarization and broader hardware validation are still ahead.

INDEPENDENTLY MADE. COMMUNITY SUPPORTED.

A little support.
A lot of possibility.

Nativol is free to use. If it makes your day easier, you can help support development, testing and the next release.

A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS

Before you plug in.

Is Nativol free and open source?

Yes, it's free to use. Nativol's original app code is MIT licensed; the NTFS engine, health checker and patches retain their GPL licenses. macFUSE is installed separately. Explore the source on GitHub.

Will it work on every Mac or NTFS drive?

This beta enables writing on native Intel macOS 15.7.9 with macFUSE 5.4.0, for eligible external single-partition NTFS drives over USB or Thunderbolt. The helper checks identity, supported geometry and filesystem health. Apple silicon and additional macOS versions are outside this release.

What does automatic writing mean?

After background setup, enable automatic writing once. Nativol will check eligible connected drives and attempt writable mounts. You can keep individual volumes read-only. Unsupported or unhealthy drives are refused; Nativol does not format, repair or force a busy unmount.

Does Nativol upload my files?

No. Drive operations stay on your Mac. This site has no analytics, external fonts or embedded payment widgets. The Binance Pay QR is an image stored with this site; scanning it opens Binance. Selecting Buy Me a Coffee opens that service's website. Those services handle donations under their own terms; this site does not process payments or receive payment confirmations.

Do I need to donate to use the app?

No. Donations are entirely optional and don't unlock features. Trying the beta on spare media, reporting a useful issue or contributing code are other ways to help.
